A non-profit organisation, founded in 1989, with the aim of providing a national body to promote & develop the science, art and practice of the sound management of waste and to serve as a forum for the exchange of knowledge of waste management both locally and international. Over 300 members are provided with newsletters & reports & information plus a library and regular workshops & seminars. An annual conference which provides opportunities for learning, sharing information & networking.

The Recycling Operators of NZ Inc. is a non-profit networking organisation representing recycling operators, companies and organisations involved in the recycling & recovered materials industry in N.Z. RONZ focuses on raising the profile of recycling in NZ through various initiatives involving central government, local authorities, industry and the community-sector.
Aggregate Aggregate & Quarry Assn of NZ
Companies involved in extracting & supplying gravel & allied materials formed the AQA in 1969 in response to a need for an industry group that could represent aggregate suppliers on a range of issues as well as liase with specifiers and end users of the material. Training, education, rehabilitation of quarries & associated environmental issues are key concerns.
