BioGro Certification Approved   Compost from our Tokoroa composting facility has just received  BioGro organic certification. This is a huge acheivement for MPL which acknowleges the superb quality of this compost and the strict prcedures followed in its production.    Only greenwaste is used in the production of the compost.  No additives or fillers are used in the process as is common practice in many other compost producers.
South Waikato Disposal Contract   Materials Processing ltd has just been awarded the solid waste disposal contract for South Waikato District Council,  a 2 year contract with 1 year ROR. This will  dovetail our existing Tokoroa and Kinleith operations.   Although Landfill operation is at odds with our philosophy, we intend to use our acquired skills, experience and markets to maximise diversion to recovery as we gain access to the waste stream, albeit at the end of pipe.
Whangarei Greenwaste   From March 1st MPL commenced Greenwaste recycling at the Whangarei Re-Sort transfer station.   Green waste is shredded on site and removed to offsite composting and further processing. We now have bagged compost available for sale at the site and will soon have a bulk sale facility.
